The Forestry Commission (FC) is introducing a single closing date, May 31, 2003, for the next round of Woodland Grant Scheme new planting applications.
Two closing dates have been operating for the past three years but the second date, October 31, made it difficult for applicants and staff at the FC and the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to process applications quickly enough.
However, applications which equal or exceed the fast-track score of 13 will be accepted until August 31.
