The UK Timber Frame Association (UKTFA) has published a new guide offering information and advice on the cost and efficiency benefits of building with timber frame.
Timber Frame Construction 2008, launched this week at Interbuild, offers advice on zero carbon housing, timber frame schools, whole life costs, fire safety on timber frame construction sites and tips for maximising business efficiencies with off-site construction. It is aimed at developers, contractors and designers to help them remain competitive in the current economic climate.
“It’s not just raw cost and cash control that matters these days,” said UKTFA chairman Stewart Dalgarno.
“It’s value, quality and carbon cost too. This is why we’re using Interbuild to show why timber frame is the construction method of choice for future-focused, intelligent and efficient housebuilders with a long term strategy for success and sustainability.”
Timber Frame Construction 2008 also includes a pull-out and keep directory of UKTFA members.
The guide is available from the UKTFA stand, Hall 5 Stand J60.
