Brian Anderson has joined Norbord as deputy managing director, operations for the European business. The new role is designed to help the firm address difficult market conditions, a rapidly changing business and increased manufacturing costs at its European operations.
The four general managers of Norbord’s operations in the UK and Belgium will report to Mr Anderson, in addition to the manager of engineering for the European Group.
Mr Anderson has held senior operations and business management roles in the forest products industry in North America, having previously worked for Procter & Gamble, Weyerhaeuser and The Pacific Lumber Company.
