Panel product manufacturer Norbord has its sights set on achieving 100% on-time-in-full-delivery performance for its customers across the UK.

The company, which can already lay claim to 98% of its products reaching customers as ordered and on time, is employing a new supply chain manager to help it reach its 100% goal. Customer forecasting and planning will also be examined and improved.

Billy Grieve, Norbord’s assistant logistics manager, said: “We introduced on-time-in-full-delivery two years ago to monitor our delivery performance.

“We match our actual delivery times against that demanded by the customers and check that the right quantitites have been delivered each time. I’m happy to say that for the majority of clients we achieve our 100% target.”
