The move effectively sees Norra separating its timber products sales and manufacture from its forestry arm.
“Our goal in making this change is to highlight our position in the market while also creating a more international profile,” said Norra sales director Erik Eliasson.
“The change is largely cosmetic, but with a growing market presence, tailored customer communications and customised solutions, our aim is to help our customers to derive even greater benefit from their partnership with us.”
Norra also operates a component factory and a pole factory. The group produces almost 400,000m3 of timber products, of which 90,000m3 are machined and customised.
