The Police Service of Northern Ireland is investigating the cause of a blaze at an incomplete timber frame housing development in Dungannon, which caused extensive damage.

Five of a row of six terraced houses were destroyed by the blaze on June 14, while several occupied properties nearby also had to be evacuated after sustaining damage as a result of the fire.

The police are not ruling out arson as part of their investigation into the cause.

The fire was discovered at around 7.15am, after police and the fire service had extinguished a smaller fire at the site almost two hours earlier.
