A television advertising campaign promoting the use of wood will get underway in France in November.

Backed by the Nordic Timber Council (NTC), the campaign “Le bois, c’est essentiel!” will be supported with other communication tools.

NTC managing director Jan Söderlind said TV advertising is powerful and the best way to get attention quickly.

Around 20 million contacts will be made through the 10 second TV spots which will be transmitted 100 times during one month on FR2, FR3, Canal and FR5.

The wood promotion campaign in France will take place between 2004 and 2006 and during the first year will consist of written media, newsletters, communication kits and information meetings as well as the TV advertising.
