This year’s German ZOW show at Bad Salzuflen attracted 13,250 trade visitors, a small increase on the 2003 event.

Organiser Survey Marketing & Consulting GmbH says the proportion of foreign visitors at the February 9-12 exhibition grew to 36%, compared to 33% last year. The majority came from other EU countries, with Holland sending the largest number, followed by Britain and Belgium.

The strongest branch of industry represented by visitors was the kitchen sector, followed by office furniture, then living room, bedroom and youth furniture areas. Independent designers and architects accounted for 8% of total visitors.

A total of 550 exhibitors from 25 countries covered 28,000m2 in three halls.

Egger‘s folding cupboard back with lacquered V-joint, made from Formline thin MDF, was one of 10 products singled out by a judging panel in the show’s “Innovation-Scouts” initiative.
