The Timber Show, billed as the UK’s only exhibition dedicated to showcasing timber, has been cancelled.
The event, booked at ExCeL London for March 11-13, was cancelled by organiser East Exhibitions after being unsuccessful in securing additional funding to stage the show.
In a statement released today, East Exhibitions said it had now gone into liquidation and companies booked to exhibit have been informed.
“I am deeply sorry for the upset and inconvenience that this action will cause,” said director Martin Pearce on behalf of East Exhibitions.
The inaugural Timber Show took place in 2006 and atracted 63 exhibitors and about 1,000 visitors.
Reaction to this news will appear in the next issue of TTJ.
