The industry-wide venture, which is supported by Norbord, SmartPly, resin supplier Huntsman and the Wood Panel Industries Federation (WPIF), will concentrate on encouraging jobbing and apprentice builders, as well as merchants and designers, to “Get on Board” through “tough talk” and grassroots activity.

Following a merchant tour last year, the campaign will again hit the road, encouraging builders to take part in a football shootout competition, scoring points for kicking the ball through holes cut in an OSB panel.

The campaign will again hold the Apprentice of the Year competition and JOSB Done college master classes.

“To accompany our ongoing education programme, we’ll be taking a new creative approach to boast the diverse range of applications that OSB can be used for, looking at large-scale construction projects, small on-site tasks and everything in-between, working with a variety of companies to develop case studies and testimonials that detail OSB’s many advantages,” said WPIF director-general Alastair Kerr.
