The company says it made the move following consultation with its 78 distributors.
“They told us that next-day delivery would significantly help their time-dependent business,” said ETD head Richard Jarvis. “This is a significant investment in additional haulage costs, but by leading in service, we hope our market share will grow.”
Simpson Strong-Tie claims that the launch of the new division has already generated business, from existing and new customers.
The ETD promises further developments through the year, including connector launches.
