The UK’s largest roof truss manufacturer Palgrave Brown has fallen victim to the house construction slowdown and is in administration.
Administrators BDO Stoy Hayward today released a statement saying it had been appointed administrative receivers of Palgrave, which also supplies timber, I-joists, staircases, mouldings and doors.
“Palgrave Brown is a casualty of the well-documented contraction of the construction and housebuilding industries,” said Dermot Power, partner at BDO Stoy Hayward.
Chorley-based Palgrave has 17 sites, employing 491 staff.
