AtelierTransPal by Stefan Shankland has been constructed on the Parade Ground, a 25,000ft2 space between Tate Britain and Chelsea College of Art and Design, University of the Arts of London.

The 21m-long, 4m-high and 4m-wide structure is linked to an online research project exploring the links between the pallet, the artist’s studio and practices in the public domain.

The sculpture’s opening ceremony brought together different user groups involved in the project, including artists, architects, critics, art students and pallet manufacturers.
