Wood fibre insulation board manufacturer Pavatex SA has reported a 18% annual sales increase to €71m.
The Swiss-based company, which also has operations in Germany, Italy, the Benelux, Austria, France and the UK, said it was optimistic about 2010 due to a focus on renovating older buildings.
Pavatex said there had been great interest in its Pavaflex flexible wood insulation material, developed jointly as part of a strategic partnership with Kronoply. The material is typically used between rafters or studs.
“Pavatex SA is optimistic that it will expand its leading market position, despite weak construction activity in most markets,” said CEO Martin Brett Thaler.
The company markets its wood fibre insulation boards as natural products, with vapour diffusion and heat storage characteristics.
