Postsaver launches pre-sleeved posts

Postsaver has taken the next big step in its fence post protection business by launching pre-sleeved posts.

The company, which has been operating since 1994, said its latest move was as a result of customer demand.

“For many years contractors have been saying that the Postsaver technology adds significant value to projects and provide their customers with confidence in the longevity of their posts,” it said.

“However, time is a contractor’s most valuable commodity, and the correct application of a Postsaver Post Rot Protector can add to the cost of a project. Pre-sleeved Postsaver posts now save time and money with ready to use protected posts.”

These new, pre-sleeved posts can be ordered in a range of shapes, sizes, and lengths to sell as part of any fencing and landscaping range.

Postsaver has sold millions of its products globally. The technology is a heat-shrinkable sleeve lined with a meltable, bituminous liner. They are heat applied to wooden fence and gate posts to create an air and watertight barrier around the vulnerable ground line section of the post.

The Postsaver posts have gone through a tanalised UC4 treatment process, and then fitted with the rot protector for a 2ft burial depth. Application of the post protector is done via a Pro-mill machine which can process up to 400 posts per hour ensuring each post is fitted correctly with the sleeve technology.
