A seminar examining the realistic commercial potential for wood plastic composites will be held at the BRE, Watford on October 18.
Presentations will be given by key players in the industry from around the world, but the focus will be on UK markets.
The seminar is in response to environmental pressures that are driving demand for new materials that are sustainable but perform better than current alternatives.
Wood plastic composites are beginning to attract huge interest in many areas of the building industry. The decking, fencing and garden products market is already strong in the US and is beginning to grow in Europe.
Now new markets are being explored with products developed for applications such as doors, windows, exterior trims, profiles, roofing tiles, siding, cladding, marine structures and furniture components.
