Timber importer and distributor Premier Forest Products has appointed Joe Walker as general manager of its Newport operation.
Mr Walker, who has been at Premier for seven years working in the sales division, will be responsible for general management of the Newport business, operations and site, in addition to maintaining involvement in many of the company’s key accounts.
He previously ran Premier’s distribution centre at Andover, and since joining the Newport office he has streamlined the IT and business process. He has also been actively involved in Premier’s marketing.
