A scheme to show homeowners in Wales the importance of choosing a reputable builder and quality materials is being supported by Richard Burbidge Ltd.

Called the Pavilion Project, the scheme involves the reconstruction and renovation of an end-of-terrace house in Merthyr Tydfil.

Richard Cullen, flooring product manager for Richard Burbidge, said: “We felt it was important to be involved because there is currently no scheme in Wales to protect homeowners against shoddy workmanship by showing them the importance of good renovation. The Pavilion Project is attempting to fill this gap until the government’s Quality Mark Scheme is fully operational in Wales.”

Richard Burbidge is supplying more than 60m2 of its Natural range of 14mm timber veneer flooring which is in keeping with the original style of the property.

The flooring will be installed in the study, landing and all three bedrooms of the property which is due to be finished by the end of September when it will be opened to the public.
