Rowlinson Timber has come to the rescue of a humanitarian aid Christmas gift project for homeless people in Estonia.
The timber importer helped The Rotary Club solve the problem of transporting four large pallets of gifts to the Salvation Army’s Hope House in Tallinn. Gifts included clothing and bedding.
“Many people connected with the softwood industry know that we have strong business links with Estonia where our sister company Baltic Connexions is based,” said John Bate, managing director of Rowlinson Timber.
“As importers and traders of softwood carcassing, we regularly charter our own ships and arrange transport throughout Europe so we were only too happy to play our part in such a worthwhile cause by transporting the gift pallets to Estonia in time for Christmas.”
