The objective is to develop an accreditation for Russian conditions that adheres to the requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes.
The three Russian forest certification initiatives – the National FSC in Russia, the FCR and the RSFC – will be respresented.
A spokesperson said the workshop June 20 would provide an update on Russian government policy and bring together Russian timber producers, the timber industry and international client organisations.
