Refocusing the mill’s production to a single species is part of the production rationalisation process being implemented in Södra Timber.

Mönsteras will change from three shifts to two, resulting in a “surplus” of around 30 people. Union negotiations will start on April 12.

The company’s pine volumes are produced by its other mills, including Södra Timber Atvidaberg, which will be a pure pine sawmill.
