Specialist traditional timber window and door manufacturer, The Sash Window Workshop, has appointed Shelley Kainth as joint managing director, to work alongside founder Richard Dollar. She will focus on finance, IT and strategic business development.
A qualified accountant and experienced investment banker, Ms Kainth has worked for a wide range of firms in the UK and Switzerland and spent 10 years working for Bankers Trust, including four years as CEO of its Swiss Private Bank.
In 1999, she set up her own consultancy, SML Solutions for Management, working on performance improvement for small businesses and charities. She began consulting for Berkshire-based The Sash Window Workshop in 2004 and became an adviser to the board in 2005.
“Shelley joins the company at a crucial time as we gear up to deal with new environmental regulations and increase our client base,” said Mr Dollar. “She will be a key player in the successful financial performance of the business and our expansion into the south-west.”
