Fire crews spent more than three hours fighting a diesel fuel blaze at Derbyshire sawmiller and timber merchant A Hingley & Son (Timber) Ltd.
Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service said the fire on Tuesday involved 1,400 litres of diesel in a storage tank in Hingley’s Hazlewood yard near Belper.
A brigade spokesperson said four fire crews were required at the height of the blaze, while police traffic control was needed on a nearby road.
The spokesperson said the storage tank, some wood and surrounding trees had been damaged.
The company declined to comment to TTJ about the fire.
