SCA Timber is to invest SKr37m in a new log sorting line at its Bollsta sawmill
The investment, which follows the installation of X-ray and 3D sawlog measuring equipment, will take place in the summer and comprises a new conveyor and 80 boxes.
Katarina Levin, SCA’s sawmill manager in Bollstabruk, said the machinery would enable the mill to fully use the X-ray and 3D scanning equipment.
“We can sort our sawlogs with a higher precision, improve the yield and ensure we use the right material for the right product,” she said.
“We will also increase our log sorting capacity and allow for a continued production increase at Bollsta sawmill.”
