Scaninge Timber Group’s four sawmills in Sweden are to become Profit Centres, each responsible for its own costs, revenues, production, product development and customer service.
The move is designed to give the sawmills the opportunity to develop their individual strengths.
Scaninge Timber president Ulf Larsson said: ‘The whole sawmilling sector in Sweden suffers from low profitability but I’m convinced that our new structure will mobilise the full potential of each sawmill.’
