UPM-Kymmene subsidiary Schauman Wood Oy has won a US$50m contract to supply Korean shipbuilding companies with 50,000m³ of plywood.
The material will be used for the gas tank supporting structures of liquid natural gas carriers.
The plywood deliveries will be divided between several Schauman Wood plywood mills – for example the Kuopio plywood mill will deliver 30% of its total production.
