Scotline is moving its operation on the Humber from Goole to Gunnness, with vessels discharging at Grove Wharf with immediate effect.

The moves follows the forced closure of Sotline Terminal Goole Ltd because of hefty backdated port rates demands.

Scotline said a long-term contract with Wharton Grove Warf Ltd gave Scotline dedicated facilities, including its own office on the quay at Gunness.

“This facility will allow Scotline to put the whole Humber rates debacle behind us and provides us with an opportunity to go forward and expand our operation,” it said.

The new operation will include responsibility for stock control, documentation and haulage deliveries, with Scotline operating weekly sailings from Varbeg and monthly sailings from Brake, Germany and Riga.
