Fife-based Scott Group has rebranded and launched six divisions to provide a clearer picture of its business interests.

The Group has grown considerably over the past 20 years to become the UK’s largest pallet supplier, as well as supplying packaging and trade supplies such as tools, work wear and corporate clothing. Most recently the Group launched a commercial insurance service under the Scott Direct brand.

Group operations director Norman Scott said the new divisions were designed “to ensure the market has a clear understanding of the diversity of our business and all the products and services that we can offer”.

Since 1998, the Scott Group has acquired 32 businesses, so the branding has been designed to consolidate the entire Group. All pallet companies including Birchmead, Marlaw Pallet Services and Crofton Pallets come under the Scott Pallets banner; all packaging business including Tripack, George Hill and Henry Sutcliffe are under the Scott Packaging banner; pallet repair and repatriation services including the reverse logistics specialist European Logistics Management (ELM) are part of Scott ELM; industrial supplies business Fasco becomes Scott Direct; Scott Property has been created for the Group’s increasing commercial property portfolio which includes Springkerse Industrial Estate in Stirling; and the United Box brand, a joint venture with James Jones & Sons Ltd and private investors, becomes a separate entity for the Group’s Agricultural Boxes division.

As part of the branding project, the Group has also launched a new website at www.scottgroupltd.com.

The Scott Group was founded in 1987 and now employs more than 1,000 people in the UK.
