MSPs were due to meet in the chamber on May 10, seven days early, after engineers Arup finished attaching straps to a series of laminated oak struts.
“The parliament is bigger than the building,” said presiding officer George Reid. “We must now have the ideas and vision to move on again.”
The chamber was closed on March 2 after an oak strut swung loose while MSPs were in session.
