President of the Institute of Machine Woodworking Technology Eric Stephenson used Woodmex to promote his newly-published second edition of ‘Circular Saws’.
The book, a revised, updated and expanded version of the orginal work written by Mr Stephenson and Dave Plank 30 years ago, contains details of the manufacture, maintenance, grinding and sharpening of circular saws, together with their application and safe use throughout the woodworking industry.
Woodworking writer and consultant Mr Stephenson, who started his career as a machinist at Thomas Robinson of Rochdale, has travelled the world giving lectures and seminars on woodworking tools.
When asked about big changes he has witnessed in the industry he singled out the PUWER regulations and the advent of CNC machine centres.
