Doncaster-based Sentry Doors has acquired Tennison Timber of Pollington, near Goole.

A timber importer and sawmiller for the past 100 years, Tennison Timber has 23 staff and a £2m turnover. It supplies timber mouldings including architraves, skirting boards and door frames to customers throughout the UK.

Gordon Yates of Sentry Doors said: “There is a natural synergy between Sentry Doors and Tennison Timber and we will be looking to combine the customer base and identify any cross-selling opportunities wherever possible.”

Tennison Timber will retain its existing management team, but Mr Yates will oversee the consolidation and further development of the company.

The deal was put together with funding from Cattles Invoice Finance and advice from accountant Smith Craven.
