Setra Group AB saw its operating loss deepen to SKr118m last year but is predicting better times ahead in 2006.

The Swedish company, whose earnings were hit by SKr61m one-off costs during 2005, said its net sales were up to SKr5.3bn from SKr5.2bn.

Setra suffered a SKr48m operating loss during the fourth quarter, mainly due to SKr45m one-off costs relating to losses on fixed assets. Net sales for the period were up to SKr1.4bn from SKr1.2bn.

The company expects to significantly improve its earnings during 2006, due to an expected further growth in sawn timber prices and planned cost efficiency measures.
