In response to the French prime minister’s call for the promotion of sustainable forestry, SFM Company has achieved Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) chain of custody accreditation.
SFM has also had its ISO 9001 version 2000 certification for its group of companies renewed by independent certification body BVQI.
SFM chief executive officer Emmanuel Groutel said: “We are definitely one of the very few importers – if not the only one – to operate under these standards.”
