A cotton mill-turned-business centre in Lancashire has been given a facelift using Sikkens Rubbol XD Gloss.
More than 500 timber windows have been restored and repaired at the iconic Coppull Mill, which is now home to a number of small businesses under the banner of the Coppull Enterprise Centre.
Working with Bolton-based main contractor, Craftwork Construction Limited, Lea Hough and Co, chartered surveyors were tasked with the transformation, which included replacing and repairing the existing timber units.
Each window was primed with Sikkens Onol Primer, then finished with two coats of Sikkens Rubbol XD Gloss in white.
“This was a major cosmetic exercise to improve the appearance and weather-tightness of the old building,” said Paul Dignan, of Lea Hough. “We specified Sikkens XD Gloss to create a uniform finish that also met the rigorous criteria of the conservation officers at Chorley Council.”
