Sipbuild UK is sponsoring the kit for the crew of One Hull of a Boat when it competes in the UK legs of the P1 Powerboat Championships which will be broadcast around the world by Sky Sports.
"I’m a bit of a petrol head at heart so I’m really proud to be involved in supporting One Hull of a Boat," said Sipbuild UK managing director Chris Duckworth. "It shows what the power of community can achieve and it will promote Hull and what it has to offer around the world."
In addition to the Hull leg of the Powerboat Championship One Hull of a Boat will compete in Torquay and Plymouth, be used around the world as a promotional boat for P1 and spend time docked in Canary Wharf in London.
A five-day festival has been arranged around the competition, which includes a beer festival, children’s activities and a celebratory party with live music, where guests can meet the racing teams.
