Sonae UK managing director Tony Hackney is leaving his post to take up the top job at the UK’s largest sawmiller BSW Timber plc.
His appointment follows BSW Timber chief executive Paul Barham’s decision to retire at the end of October.
Mr Hackney, who has headed Sonae for six years, will take up the BSW chief executive post in early November.
His role at Sonae will be fulfilled by Nigel Graham.
