An all-time record has been set at the Southern Pine Council‘s (SPC) website which attracted more than 540,000 user sessions between January and mid-October.

The home page of www.southernpine.com, which is aimed at the Gulf Coast rebuilding effort, encourages people to “build smart”.

As well as giving advice on cleaning up mould, visitors are directed to the whole house termite resistant concept, RaisedFloorLiving.com and facts on blue-stained lumber products.

The Southern Pine Council has just released a question and answer brochure giving key information about blue-stained southern pine lumber.

Over the next few months lumber cut from wind-felled, reclaimed southern pine may contain blue stain, and the brochure explains that this is not mould, does not pose a health risk and does not affect the lumber strength.

The brochure is available on SPC’s website.
