Stora Enso and Weyerhaeuser have achieved listings in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
For Stora Enso it was the ninth year running the company had made the index, which selects firms on the basis of their economic, environmental and social performance.
CEO Jouko Karvinen said the achievement showed the company’s long-term sustainability efforts had been well received.
Weyerhaeuser, which has also enjoyed previous listings, said third-party validation of its sustainability practices was important confirmation for stakeholders that the company was on the right path.
