Stora Enso has received the official greenlight for its purchase of a major stake in AS Sylvester, Estonia’s largest sawmilling and wood procurement company,.
The competition authorities have accepted Stora Enso Timber’s acquisition of a 66% share of Sylvester‘s sawmilling operations , plus Stora Enso Mets’ 100% ownership of Sylvester’s wood procurement operations in the Baltic states.
Stora Enso says the acquisition strengthens its position in the Baltic states wood procurement markets and the wood products business in Europe.
