?¡?Timber’s ThermoWood spruce material, produced at the company’s Kotka mill in Finland, has gained Stichting Keuringsbureau Hout SKH’s KOMO product certification.
The SKH KOMO certification, an accepted standard in Holland and recognised in other EU countries, defines the key characteristics expected from the material when treated using the approved Thermo-D treatment level. Characteristics include biological durability, equilibrium moisture content and dimensional stability.
Stora Enso says the certification represents further endorsement of the ThermoWood product and is a good platform for further standardisation.
