The Swedish Bioenergy Association (Svebio) is organising a world conference on wood pellets.
The event will be held as part of World Bioenergy at forestry fair Elmia in Sweden on May 30-June 1.
Svebio said 2005 was a record year for the Swedish pellets market but it believes 2006 will be even better.
It said the cost of oil heating and the availability of Swedish subsidies for converting to pellets had contributed to the popularity of pellet-fired heating.
