The Timber Decking Association (TDA) website has been revamped to help architects, landscape designers and builders wanting to know more about decking.
The site – www.tda.org.uk – features a help desk providing a direct link to the TDA’s technical resources, including TRADA. Professional deck designers can also buy the TRADA/TDA Timber Decking Manual on line.
The TDA’s publication Introduction to Creating Quality Decks, which contains information about the DeckMark quality assurance scheme, the benefits of wood, timber species used for decks, timber decking design considerations, basic construction principles and legislative requirements can be downloaded free of charge.
