The Hants & Dorset and London timber trade golf societies celebrated the 70th anniversary of their annual golf tournament by inviting as many past participants to this year’s event as possible.
The tournament has taken place every year, except during the second world war, and it is thought to have always been held at Liphook Golf Club.
Fifteen players per team teed off for the anniversary match, with Hants & Dorset taking a narrow victory.
Over the past 30 years, during which many of the participants had taken part, London has won 14 times, South Coast 13 with 3 halved.
