North American timber testing equipment manufacturer Metriguard has agreed a deal to produce, market and service TECO‘s wood panel testing machines.
TECO undertakes customer-focused, third-party certification and testing for structural building products, including OSB, LVL, I-joists and glulam, and said that the partnership with Metriguard would provide a benefit to its customers.
“We feel extremely fortunate to be able to partner with such a well-known and respected company,” said TECO chairman and chief executive officer Steve Winistorfer.
“Our test machine clients will really benefit from the experience and expertise that Jim Logan [Metriguard founder] and his group at Metriguard bring to this market.”
The deal includes servicing for existing TECO clients, as well as new mills using testing equipment from the company.
