Four of Weyerhaeuser‘s Structurwood OSB mills are to be certified by third-party quality inspection and testing agency TECO.

The certification, beginning from January 1, will bring the number of certified Structurwood mills to 10.

Doug Loates, Weyerhaeuser’s technical director of engineered panels, said: “A majority of Weyerhaeuser wood panel mills are already TECO certified and this decision will bring more consistency and value to our entire panel system.”

The mills to be certified are Grayling, Michigan; Elkin, North Carolina; Arcadia, Louisiana; and Slave Lake, Alberta. They are currently certified by APA-The Engineered Wood Association.
