Interbuild says it is breaking new ground by allowing visitors to pre-register for the April 25-29 exhibition by text messaging.
Organisers of the event, held at Birmingham NEC, said “several hundred” responses had already been received since the text registration service was set up with communications firm Mobilespark.
Rob Clegg, Mobilespark director, said: “I definitely see this as the way forward for exhibitions. We have the technology to send people a barcoded virtual ticket direct to their mobile phone.”
