A trailer load of timber worth more than £12,000 has been stolen from the Kendal premises of RH Wilson (Lakes) Ltd.
The 35m3 of specially graded redwood was destined for high quality joinery and the ends of each piece are stamped with the customer’s specific end marking or grading identification in green.
The marking is unique to RH Wilson and chairman and managing director Richard Wilson hopes this may help lead to its recovery.
He said: “We hope the timber will be traced with the help of joinery manufacturers and merchants keeping a look out for it. We would like anyone contacted regarding the disposal of these goods to get in touch with ourselves or with the police.”
The trailer was red with silver curtains and green landing legs and the timber was wrapped in RH Wilson’s plastic covering.
