Belgian timber company Vandecasteele Houtimport has won a prestigious “environmental charter” award for the third time.

Prince Laurent of Belgium and the Governor of West-Flandres presented the charter to the company’s export manager Geneviéve Standaert.

The West Flanders Environmental Charter brings together businesses which sign up to environmental objectives exceeding legal requirements. Charter themes include reducing energy consumption, waste, pollution, noise and packaging.
