For the past six years Tilhill‘s West Highland District has joined other companies in helping Plockton High School with a project to help people in Africa.

As Tilhill upgrades its computer systems it donates the old ones to the high school where Year 6 pupils repair them and install relevant software.

Staff and pupils then take the computers to communities in Africa, where unemployment runs at 98%, as part of their Africa 2002 Initiative.

This year alone they have taken computers to 60 schools where they train African teachers in basic.
