Ecobuild may have been bigger than ever this year, but timber and wood products still achieved their greatest impact at the event so far, according to exhibitors and visitors from the industry.

TTJ editor Mike Jeffree, reporting following the first day of the three-day exhibition, at London’s ExCeL this week, said timber was estimated to feature on over 100 different stands, either exclusively or as an element of a house or other structural dispay.

Overall, the show has attracted around 1,300 exhibitors and forecasts over 50,000 visitors.

Louisiana-Pacific and modified wood specialist Kebony both reported “good traffic”, while TRADA said “exciting displays” from timber product suppliers showed the industry was developing technically advanced products.
